Kissing Spine Forum 2025

Hosted Online

With Jean Luc Cornille and Dr. Elizabeth Uhl, DVM, Ph.D., DACVP

Start Date: July 1, 2025

While traditional approaches focus on the lesion itself, the Science of Motion emphasizes the underlying kinematic abnormalities and vertebral dysfunctions that cause the lesion. The vertebrae include the vertebral body with numerous facets and dorsal spines.

Our method identifies the muscle imbalances responsible for the dysfunction of the vertebrae and consequent contaact of the dorsal spine. Through targeted in-hand work, riding, and gymnastic exercises, the therapy aims to correct these imbalances and restore healthy spinal function.

Intellectual humility, critical thinking, and a deep love for the horse are essential.

Participants must be open to the idea that riding or training techniques may have played a role in the development of kissing spine.
